Or is it a pear shape. Can anyone tell me what makes an hour glass or pear shape? Like how many inches more those the hips have to be than the waist to be condiered hour glass or pear shaped?

that is perfect hour glass and very desirable!!

When the chest and hips are near the same and the waist is 8-10" narrower that yields "hourglass"

Pear is a waist that is thick like the hips...36-40-42

Yes, but I hope those are inch indicators. When the top and bottom measurements are larger than the middle, it indicates a shape like an hourglass--the glass part. A pear shape looks like a pear, with the measurements increasing on the way down.

Generally an hour-glass shape is one where the chest and hip measurements are the same (or close) and the waist is visibly narrower. A pear shape would be where the chest is smallest and hips are largest. Assuming your given measurements are in inches, you seem to have an hour-glass shape.

That's an hourglass shape - you'd be a pear shape if your chest measurements were similar to your waist measurements (but your hips were still wider)

I would say this is an hourglass. A pear shape would be wider in the hips.
