I find this happening a lot lately, and I feel awkward about it. I had been accostumed to having men approach and broach conversation if they found me attractive (foreign men still do this, not white American men). I feel unsure about myself in turning this around, but the behaviour I'm seeing seems to suggest that I'm supposed to if I ever want to have a date again. With Internet dating and a host of other sociocultural neuroticisms, it i becoming impossible to connect with people because of changes in behaviors and expectations between men and women. Your thoughts please.

If you want a guy and he's looking at you go up and talk to him. A simple hey how's it going is good enough to start it off.

hes just checking you out. first moves are awkward but men LOVE women to make the first move. it opens them up to be more at ease and be themselves. It also boosts their ego to the enth degree. one thing though, if you do approach him, dont just go halfway, be prepared to control the conversation (like men do when they approach) untill the ice is broken a bit.
