the language spoken by Jesus, was Aramaic. aramaic is pretty much a dead langauage, however Jewish people still learn and often times speak aramaic in religious settings. when two jewish people get married, the marriage document is written in aramaic. also the talmud, which jewish scholars learn is written in aramaic. aramaic isnt so much spoken conversationaly, however it is used religiously. for instance Buki, in aramaic, means a person who is knowledgable on a subject matter. Honey ( pronounced like bee's honey), in aramaic, means these. those are just a few examples.
