Hi! My little 4 month old pup (havanese) has been sneezing A LOT! There is no discharge/mucus coming out of her nose, her nose looks fine. She always has a little tear staining in her eyes anyway and the staining doesn't look any different. Her stool is ok too. I personally think she has allergies but vet says they don't appear until they get a little older. But even if she has allergies, should she be sneezing all the time? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
**She stays mainly inside the house unless she plays with my mom's dog and then they play outside in a fenced yard (3x's a week).**
Thanks!

You may want to consider getting a Bionair type air purifier unit. There are dusts, pollens, smoke and other allergens in the confined air of a home that small lungs have difficulty with. Being so close to the ground you may want to vacuum your rugs and floors more often or try a different or better machine. Being outdoors includes the possibility of external forces so perhaps it is an allergy to ragweed, grass, mold, or its' food.

I would prefer to eliminate the irritant rather than have it ingest medications.

Definitely from dust or allergies. (Where did this Vet get their degree?)

Insist on taking your fur ball to the Vets, so they know you aren't kidding. And tell the Vet you know of other puppies who exhibited this kind of behavior and DID have allergies, and were even a little younger. Your little pup shouldn't have to endure the sneezing & tearing eyes.

Good luck !

Dog training are excellent and very helpful to build you a stronger relationship with your dog. Read more https://tinyurl.im/3vWst

After I started training my dog, he became very attached to me and loves to stay by side as long as he can. But just going to them won't help. You have to practice what they teach you outside of the class and you need to keep up with it at least every now and then after the class ends otherwise they'll just go back to previous habits. This course is a really good place to go for dog obedience classes. It get's your dog around other people and dogs to socialize while getting the training you need. As for electric collars, I would say to not get one. In my experience, they're only a negative effect on your dog. I mean of course you're going to need to correct your dog, but being positive and encouraging your dog works a lot faster and easier.

Every dog is different, so unless you have a german shepherd or a really smart dog, it might take a while to train her. You might get frustrated with her, but go easy. She's still a puppy and has a lot of energy. A backyard or somewhere to run will help her get rid of a lot of energy that might cause her to misbehave from boredom.

Might be just dust up her nose since they are small dogs and closer to the ground.

Cats and dogs do sneeze just as we do when there is particles in the air that are an irritant.

as havanese are close to the ground, it could be just a case of getting dust in her nose.
As far as allergies .... they can start at any age. As soon as a dog is exposed to the environment and consuming foods.

I'd say allergies my pup started when he was 3 weeks old, He now takes allergy pills and no longer suffers from it.

Dogs get allergies too. There could be something around that is irritating her nose.
