LUckilly my anxiety came on AFTER i was on swimteam :P now i only stay underwater in pools for like 10 seconds or less. Now i also forgot how to drink a drink correctly!!! i feel so stupid. I want to drink it but im still focusing on my breathing. What do i do breathe, while drinking it, stop breathing while i drink it or what?

When you feel an anxiety attack coming on, take slow breaths.; count to 5 to yourself. Then if possible, go drink a glass of water to calm you down. It's very impt to breathe and not hold your breath. As you might get lightheaded and pass out due to poor blood circulation; thus oxygen to your brain.

However, in swimming, you have to learn how to relax and hold your breath while swimming underwater. Don't worry!

The techniques of holding your breath underwater requires a lot of skills and practice. That's why athletes are good at what they do due to prolonged hours of practice. Practice makes perfect.

By the way, what triggers your anxiety or panic attacks? Once, you can identify the causes ; then you can correct them. or avoid them. Panic attacks will just create an enemy to yourself!!!!!!!!

Don't feel so stupid.!!! The adolescent stage is an awkward stage. In time, you will learn to breathe slow and easy and not hyperventilate. Eventually, your breathing should come as a second nature, and you won't have to focus on your breathing. All you have to focus on- is to accomplish your goals e.g. 5 laps, perhaps.

You may need more help than just for the anxiety. Sounds like paranoia is stepping in. Seek a Phsychiatrist/Physchologist.
Try taking slow, deep breaths to help calm you down and then take a drink. Yes, stop breathing to take a drink. If you breath while taking a drink, you'll choke.

the best thing u can do is stop over analyzing what your doing, because that just makes u more anxious. your body naturally takes care of what ure supposed to do when u drink-breathe or not. I'm certain when u swallow for that split second ure not breathing

you can be treated for anxiety. I started having anxiety problems and I found out my heart skips a beat and I just became "aware" of it. I've been tested and its normal and now my anxiety is gone now. You need to speak with a doctor.
For the moment however drink and breath out your nose:)

well since you can't do both at the same time and you do concentrate on your breathing, maybe you should concentrate and try hold your breath for a few seconds.get used to it again. once you get used to holding it then you could drink easily. but try to hold your breath for longer periods. i mean, you know you not actually gonna pass out.
and i suppose try keep calm as well
gd luck

the respond to your question is definite, it could get into your lungs, yet no you haven't any longer something to be nerve-racking approximately. your lungs can filter out water out in small quantities and therefor there's no longer something to agonize approximately. you may understand if there replaced right into a subject with the aid of fact there is a mind-blowing line between by risk in-taking water and drowning. in case you took sufficient water in to your device to create a subject you may then have instantaneous indications of lung seizure.
