or possibly point me in the right direction?
My friend lost her husband last October & has been trying to get all his cars & things sold as she no longer needs them. He had a 1943 Farmall tractor that she says is in great condition.
She says that he used it all the time to cut the field after the hay was bailed. How or where can she find out what the tractor is worth so someone doesn't come along buys it for less than it is worth?
Sorry I posted in here but didn't know where else to go.

This is very valuable! Your friends must have contacts with farm supply store and other farmers. It is probably one of very few around. Some tractors from 1950s are selling for $5,000, but I think this one should be worth much more. E-Bay is a good place to look for comparable pricing. I bet car collectors. Also, here in St. Louis, MO we have a transportation museum. Try it.

You might also check with a local auctioneer. A lot of them are very knowledgeable in collectibles. You might even find a farm auctioneer (don't know what they are called). I would seek appraisals from them. I know most will give oral or written. Prices vary, but usually worth it. My mom used to work for an auction house, and they saw a lot of different things. It's worth a shot. Good Luck.

No problem.Check at a local farm supply company or a tractor/equipment company and see if they can either buy it or if they will sell it.
