I don't understand, god says money is not important, yet he says in heaven the streets are lined with gold. Does this mean god is greedy? Also, if you spend eternity in heaven, does that mean that you will have to worship god and tell him non stop how great he is? Seems like an egomaniac to me. And if you disagree with god, he will throw you out (see satan). So, would you really want to worship something non stop forever?

brkshandilya - I simply asked a question, I wasn't making fun of anyone, and if you can't have your beliefs challenged, you, or anyone else is a blind follower.

Be honest, for once if not more. When did God tell you or anybody else, all that what you say He did?Or you are also joining the ranks of those mindless junkies who think that making fun of a concept like a God or some religion is the latest 'in thing'.It shows utter poverty of mind and childish attitude.Belief is a personal thing and we should respect others views as we expect them to do to ours.Find some other interesting topic and throw a question by all means but not to make fun of others or to hurt their feelings. Please don't get me wrong.I am not a believer or otherwise.

Well, let's see how god acts in different situations. The bible says that God killed the first born children of Egypt because their parents turned their backs on him. God also punished Adam and Eve for learning. He also killed nearly every living mammal on the Earth in a great flood. These are the traits of a murderously insecure megolomaniacal sadist. Therefore heaven is ruled by a tyrannical dictator.

Ask a christian to define heaven.... and they will tell you what they, as a single, limited mortal, perceive ultimate reward to be.
Most of it is very unlikely to be based on primarily biblical descriptions of heaven, as most of what the bible claims heaven to be is rather unlike what the average person would consider ideal.

For what it is worth though.... the one consistant feature of christian descriptions of heaven seems to be the fact that they totally bliss out when they are talking about it. As is said: ignorance is bliss.... So I can only imagine they make up a lot of nonsense to effectively cover up the rather consistant subconscious agreement that "heaven" is effectively a total lobotomy..... a rejection of all knowledge and understanding whatsoever to have it replaced with a completely sourceless feeling of unjustified bliss.

I'd imagine trying to describe that any better in terms you as a physical being would understand.... would be a very awkward task.
I wouldn't rely on christians to give you any better answer.

[For the record, the bible lists multiple layers of heaven, angels with varying numbers of heads crying out "holy holy holy" for all eternity and other such horrific notions. It truly is scary business.]
