I make no bones about feeling passionate about this ppl, and make no apologies for doing everything I can to promote this until the Govt instigates new legislature to even up the system for military and civilian civilians "working for the same employer" aka the MoD.

I'm sure I don't need to site any recent cases - take your pick I guess.. if in any doubt just check out recent questions of mine..

To stand a chance, we have to aim for a million signatures.. tall order for a petition that isn't even mine..(only because this guy beat me to the post by submitting it..)..

Given how many ppl marched along London streets a couple of years ago, is a million signatures such an outrageous figure to aim for here?

Support this guy, support YOU.. and you... and you... and YOUR MATE NEXT TO YOU !

Absolutely Ludicrous that a Civilian with Repetitive Strain Injury can get Compensation in the region of £500,000. and a soldier who has thought for his country and lost an arm, leg or received any kind of trauma, physical or mental receives considerably less! If I remember from the news it's more like £10,000, but I could be wrong? That's appalling!!! (perhaps the soldiers would be better off claiming they had RSI from Firing their Rifles?)

I did see about this on BBC News a couple of days ago! and was disgusted then! I shall forward the petition details to all my friends and family! I for one have signed it!

Good Luck with getting a million signatures! I'll certainly try and do my bit!

I just think it's stupid that they paid that much money to the typist for injuring her thumb. I mean, it's not like a thumb injury prevented her from working, is it? Perhaps instead of raising the amount they pay soldiers, they should just stop paying people like that woman rediculous amounts of money, then they would have the money to buy decent equiptment for once.
