Volunteer work is based off the concept of people doing things that they feel in their hearts should be done to help make the world a better place in some small way, with the only reward being that you feel good about helping. That being said, children can and should do volunteer work, but ONLY if it is a project that is important to THEM. If you force a kid to do it, they will resent it, and will get a bad image of what charity really is.
