In my best imitation of the guys from South park-
"eyyy took our jobs" "grrrrrrrrrruh"
There are many different types of environments here. The southeast is really wooded and dense, reletively flat till you reach the hills, but you have to dodge the lead slingers and competition is really tight.
The northeast is just plain cold....no fun there.
The Southwest is desert/mountain country with many game opportunities.
Personally, if I were seeking to be a guide I would connect with an existing service in Utah, Wyoming, Colorado, the Dakotas, or maybe even Oregon.
just my 2 cents.

Martin, you won't believe this.
There is no National Regulation of hunting guides.
You don't have to have a license from the game department and you don't have to demonstrate that you know how to organize, equip, or maintain a decent camp or hunting operation, or even that you know how to do first aid to an idiot client who hurts himself, or even that you know the area you plan to hunt.
Some inividual states might have some specific requirements for hunting guides, but I don't know which do or don't.
I suggest that you contact the Fish and Wildlife regulatory agency in the state where you intend to operate and ask about their regulations, if any.
Good Luck.

indididual states, especially those out west, have different regulations for guides. i suggest a guide school. they teach and place you in a guide job with an outfitter. do a search online for hunting guide schools. that should help.
