I am looking for an old friend. He was stationed in Germany when we last spoke. When I called a base locator, I was able to find out that his last updated contact information is in Ft Meade, MD, 2005. How can I go about getting in contact with him. The base locator at Ft Meade said the system was down and she would only be able to find him by his SSN. Of course, I do not have that. I need help from someone that is actually in the army, lives on base, knows someone that lives on base, knows someone in the army, etc.

This may sound weird, but it's how my cousin found me in '93 when I was stationed at Schofield Barracks: He contacted the post fire marshall. They were not only able to locate me, but I actually recieved a phone call from him during duty hours while I was at another installation about 10 miles away! (Fort Shafter) I was stunned when the orderly there came to get me saying I had a phone call. Give it a shot. Those Fire Marshalls probably have more pull, and better information than the Post Commander! I was in the Army, and this method worked for my cousin finding me!

Good Luck!

Ft Meade is a LARGE base, and there's the possibility that he is actually across the way at NSA. you need more than just his name, to find him here, besides due to PERSEC concerns they won't just hand it out to you.

Try Googling his name, you may get lucky and find an Email address.
