You check your bags in the day before, are assigned your seat and then the next day you can go an hour before to a special desk and your through quite quickly.

You still need to go through passport control which is where all the hold ups seem to be lately.

Only on-line, with BA. If you have an Executive Club card, you do it on-line 24 hours before your flight. You can book the exact seats that you want and save your preferred seat for future flights. When you arrive at the airport, you just check your luggage in, which is relatively quick. Best of all, you check in from the comfort of your home. You can get this service in most countries, with BA.
