I'm overweight. I'm about 102 pounds and I'm fairly tall. I'm guessing I'm 4 ft 10 inches? Not positive... What can I do to lose about twenty pounds? I know that it won't be easy, and I know it won't just happen in two days, but I'm up to it! Please list some tips and sites.

Thanks, Pricsilla.
That's really helpful.
I would still appreciate more answers, though.

BTW, you shouldnt be losing 20 pounds. The approximate weight you should be at is like 90-95. You only need to lose a little bit, dont go all out.

Eat healthy (but yummy) and exercise (but fun).

I dont like dieting because it restricts you from eating what you want and doesnt let you live. Instead of eating straight fruits and veggies and ONLY healthy stuff, try eating low fat ice cream (in moderation), frozen blueberries sprinkled with SPLENDA, celery sticks, baked apple crisps, bananas with cinnamon, etc. You can eat healthy food but also have fun with it. Try making your own little meals and snacks that are healthy but are fun to make and also actually tastes decent. I know that plain spinach leaves taste awful so try mixing some stuff in it so that its yummy and tastes good. Dieting doesnt have to be all strict and boring, have fun with it.

Also, you need to exercise! I know as a human being like you, that jogging for hours is no fun, so try speed walking around at the mall. You get to shop and exercise, just make sure that you dont end up drinking a Starbucks frap while your doing that. Instead, walk around with a large cup of iced water and sip on that while you walk and shop. Good luck!

Calculate your BMI (body mass index) here: http://www.nhlbisupport.com/bmi/
From what you said in your question, you're in the green, don't need to lose any weight at all.
How old are you? 4'10" is not fairly tall by adult standards, and children shouldn't be seriously dieting, they should eat healthy.
Just try to keep a fairly balanced diet, carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins etc' (use a food pyramid) and try to stay active. Don't sit around all day using the computer, but get out and be active.

No, no, no. Don't loose any weight, stay where you are at. Are you crazy? If you loose any weight, you're going to be hospitalized, I'm not even kidding.

You couldn't even loose that much weight in two days even if you should be loosing it. You would be dead before those pounds dropped, there's only some much total body fat before you start loosing the BMI you need to live.

You're weight is perfect for your height, stay there.

God Almighty, these girls are crazy..

In addition to cutting portion size and counting calories drinking a lot of water is also helpful to losing weight.

I would recommend talking to your doctor about this issue as well before starting on the road to losing weight to see what they say.

Eating healthy food will cause weight loss, whether you are planning to or not. It will keep you slim for the rest of your life.

Healthy food includes lots of vegetables, lean protein and complex carbs.

I am on low carb, low fat, high fibre, high protein and a hour brisk walk 5 times a week, and I have lost 31lbs and gain better health. I am now maintaining my 108lbs for more than a year.

Details such as my experience, types of foods and veggies to eat, healthy low fat snacks, meals, recipes, walking as an exercise and to shape the body etc etc, are in my blog.
