I have never met a homosexual that says it's a choice. So, why do heterosexuals say that it is a choice?

Well, you answered the question.
Answerer #1 imho is not credible because you are never a "former" homosexual. Those sick psychological things they try and do to change a person's sexuality are not effective. Think what you want, he's still gay. It also mentions he is Christian... which explains everything I've said up to here.

Or there is me. I am a Bisexual Christian. I don't think that I was born that way. I think that I became that way because the environment that I was brought up in was heavily sexualized.

I believe that some people are born that way, and some people convince themselves that they are homosexual. It's just my opinion.

You know what else? I think that there is an amount of the persuasion born in every person. Some people have a war with themself (me) on which side that they will be sexual with. At the right place at the right time, I would be very prone to having sex with almost anyone.

Some other people are so one sided that they do not have that war, or at least visibly.

What I do here is make sure that the people who are Bi, Gay, or straight know that Heaven isn't only accessible to those who lead a straight lifestyle. That the Gospel message is for all sinners. That's why I am here for the most part. To spread the Gospel message.

We dont all say its a choice. In fact, I think that we are in a majority tolerance era. Sure, the more Islam, or other super super far right wing religious movements grow, the more these advances will be reveresed, but as it stands now, its a heck of a lot better.

For example, at my work place, there are are two openly homosexual co-workers, who get respect and no gay-bashing, They both feel comfortable talking about their sexuality.

PS - Ignore the ignorant religious sermons above. Holy cow they are clueless...total dim wits.

No one is born with any tendencies either way. If homosexuality was a choice then heterosexuality would also have to be a choice. I don't remember choosing to be straight, so I have to conclude that people don't choose their sexual orientation. It makes more sense to say that orientation is a result of a combination of genetic and environmental factors.

Sir, We are all born this way with a sin nature. In what way do you consider it matters? Let's consider pedophiles or mass murderers some very mentally ill are we to say their sin is okay because they had no choice? Or is sin a sin regardless of whether you choose it or not? Very few people admit that they choose to sin they would rather hide it or say that it is not sin but an okay thing to do...the actuality is all have sinned and all do fall short of the glory of God....We are ALL born with a sin nature but this does not justify sin nor does it make it more agreeable to a righteous God....Here's the deal God makes us sinners...He agrees to pay the penalty of sin for all who accept his atonement...Not good enough? God should say sin is okay because we are all born sinners? Sorry friend God remains righteous in all that he does but he is merciful and pays the penalty for us the argument of whether we are justified is moot we are not but the price has been paid.

Some homosexuals claim that it's "genetic", but there is no gene to prove such an accusation. So how can it be genetic? So obviously, it's behavioral. But they don't want to take responsibility, so they attempt to take the easy way out and explain it all away by claiming it to be "genetic". Nonsense. They do what they do, because they choose to do it. Plain and simple.

I think there are one or two organizations that declare they are homosexuals who CHOOSE to be so... I'll try to find links.

Eh, can't find any right now, but I recall seeing at least one small website dedicated to gay people who claimed to have chosen their orientation.

By the by, it isn't a choice.

Just like an alcoholic has a problem admitting they struggle with alcohol.......

The Bible consistently tells us that homosexual activity is a sin (Genesis 19:1-13; Leviticus 18:22; Romans 1:26-27; 1 Corinthians 6:9). Romans 1:26-27 teaches specifically that homosexuality is a result of denying and disobeying God. When a person continues in sin and disbelief, the Bible tells us that God “gives them over” to even more wicked and depraved sin in order to show them the futility and hopelessness of life apart from God. 1 Corinthians 6:9 proclaims that homosexual “offenders” will not inherit the kingdom of God.

God does not create a person with homosexual desires. The Bible tells us that a person becomes a homosexual because of sin (Romans 1:24-27), and ultimately because of their own choice. A person may be born with a greater susceptibility to homosexuality, just as people are born with a tendency to violence and other sins. That does not excuse the person choosing to sin by giving into their sinful desires. If a person is born with a greater susceptibility to anger / rage, does that make it right for then to give into those desires? Of course not! The same is true for homosexuality.

However, the Bible does not describe homosexuality as a “greater” sin than any other. All sin is offensive to God. Homosexuality is just one of the many things listed in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 that will keep a person from the kingdom of God. According to the Bible, God’s forgiveness is just as available to a homosexual as it is to an adulterer, idol worshipper, murderer, thief, etc. God also promises the strength for victory over sin, including homosexuality, to all those who will believe in Jesus Christ for their salvation (1 Corinthians 6:11; 2 Corinthians 5:17).

Some people think that their little world is the only truth in the universe. Thus, they ignore what other people say about themselves, instead dictating to them what they think, feel, and believe.

This isn't just a matter of religion. This is a matter of an ignorant closed-mindedness.

Well, how do you explain former homosexuals who have left the lifestyle? It's behavior we are talking about. And you CAN change your behavior.
