should the padding on the side of the bag go on your butt or on your lower back? The bag has a 4 point harness, backpack like.

whatever is comfortable for you - as long as you can carry it for 18, wear it how you like

My chiropractor said the kids should carry their school bookbags as high as is comfortable, to keep the weight in a better position. The lower the bag, the more you lean forward to accomidate it, and the worse for your back. I could see that being appropriate for the golf bags, too.

My bag has a 4-point harness also...It is more comfortable for me to carry it across my lower back. I think you should just carry it however it is most comfortable for you.

I'm a professional caddie with 500+ loops. The bag should rest just above the butt, across the small of the back.
