I like this guy, but he wont stop talking about his ex! Should i still try, i mean she dumped him a long time ago but i don't want to just be the "friend" he talks about his ex's with

Next time he starts talking about her, tell him that you have already heard it all, and would like for him to change the subject. Tell him that there are plenty of good things to talk about besides an old relationship.

That's one of the bad signs of dating - a person who continuously talks about an ex. Either you can deal with it or not - I know I wouldn't.

If he's still talking about her incessantly, he's not over her and he's wasting your time and his. Dump him and find something who's talks about things that you're both interested in.
