Ritalin is the most effective medication for dealing with ADD and ADHD. Does it have side effects? Yes- thta is why kids on ritalin are meant to be continuously monitored by their doctors, parents and caregivers.

But, what you find is that the CHurch of Scientology hates psychiatry and psychology- ever since Hubbard tried to get them to accept him, and failed (they saw him for the quack he was). So the Church of Scientology runs various front groups, amongst them the "Citicizens Commision for Human Rights (CCHR)" to attack psychology and psychiatry. Wanna bet the spam of this kind of material onto this newgroup is coming from the Church of Scientology followers?

I cant help you easier way out than addressing the problem .then when kids get to puberty things change what the kids need .... you ..... even more then .they. get deep depression just watch for the signs sorry don't want to scare but have seen the effect on others ...no life ....its scary as if things havent been bad enough ..sorry ...and this is wrong section

It sometimes works, this girl in my class has ADHD and it controls her most of the time, although she can still be a bit hyperactive.

Do you not know how someone, even a 12 year old can really annoy you without Ritalin? She kept on distracting me at school, even in tests she wanted answers.

Look like you have been put on the wrong web-site, maybe because you have used the word "minister" in your sentence. Try using the word "ADMINISTER' instead. Ritalin is a medication for attention deficit disorder and satan is busy enough on this web-site and this medicine will probally be taken out of context and used against you. May God Bless you.

Like you M I am furious that you and others have been open to this disease which could have been prevented. You also have a valid point about immigrants bringing it into Britain. I am sorry to say though that you probably won't get any answers - maybe we should start a petition on here demanding answers and vaccination again although I know it is too late for you and yours.

Sign of the changing culture. There is a slow deterioration in morality and ethics in the UK as well as the quality of parenting and general level of social control. I believe that it's set to get worse.

From what I understand, Ritalin is one of the most-studied medications we have. We know of its side-effects over a 40-year period, unlike most medications.

What's your problem with it?

Ritalin has its place and its uses.

And why, pray tell, is this in the Religion & Spirituality section...?

EDITED TO ADD: In response to the thumbs-down... I stand by what I've said. Did you know that Ritalin is used as an adjunct medication to regular antidepressants in the treatment of treatment-resistant depression in adults? In some cases it seems to bring relief where nothing else has. So yes, it DOES have its place and its positive results.
