Hold on . . . asking God . . .

. . . Okay, I'm back. Luckily, I was just in God's neighborhood, so I was able to get a quick answer.

This might seem strange -- I know it did to me -- but God works in mysterious ways. God said that he knew man would grow to learn many things and uncover some of nature's deepest secrets. To keep man from growing too arrogant, God decided to create dinosaur remains and fossils and layer them in the earth for us to find just when we're starting to get cocky. This would challange our faith in God by shifting faith to mankind. God had a mischievous smile when he told me this . . . I think he's very amused with himself.

I don't know if we can believe God's story or not . . . after all, he's admitting to intentionally deceiving us.

Now I'm really confused!!
:-)

No, however the dinosaur bones are trying out some peoples faith, some human beings believe in evolution only using fossil checklist, however the approach at the back of courting those fossils could be erroneous..

Dinosaurs did exist, and there is proof in the Bible. There was a verse (sorry I forgot) saying there were "great winged beasts and giant ferocious creatures that appeared" on earth. Who knows, maybe humans were taller back then. Also the word "day" in the Bible, not the english word, was possible to actually mean thousands of years! Don't worry about dinosaurs, and continue your faith with Him.

I think He put them here to watch Evolutionists make fools of themselves. Exactly where does the figure 65 million years ago come from? This figure is constantly touted by Evolutionists as if they were somehow able to determine something that long ago. Why not 65 trillion years ago?

Dinosaurs lived on this Earth. Apparently, they are extinct (but who can say for sure?), but exactly when they became extinct is not known.

He put 95% of all creatures who have ever lived in the earth to test our faith! Anyone can see that it's God testing us and not the product of millions of years of evolutionary periods broken apart by mass extinctions! Come on!

hehe...interesting postulate you got there. Novel.

Well, I think God put dinosaurs here because He felt like it. He is a Creator -- a divine being whose thoughts are higher than our thoughts. He created creatures and being we would never see or benefit from, but that was His mysterious will.

Maybe one of the upshots of this mystery was the fact that dinosaurs, strange extra-biblical beasts that they are, could test our faith. God can have myriad purposes in one act -- that is the wonder of the mind of God! He's unfathomable!

No, now, come on...the devil put them there to fool all us "Darwinists"...

Edit: Sorry, that's sarcastic. God didn't put dinosaurs on the Earth to test our faith. They evolved somewhere around 360 million or so years ago (I think...I'll check my sources), and died out (in the classical form we usually think of them) around 60-65 million years ago. There's no trickery or deception by anyone or anything.

Edit #2: Sorry again...dinos evolved about 215 million years ago. The first evidence of reptiles in general is found in the strata at about 350-360 million years ago.
