I have done this before.... your body probably just needs rest. If you are sleeping that much for too long, it could be a problem, but occasionally having days like that won't hurt you.

A 48 hour massage with relaxing music, and aroma therapy could put you to sleep and keep you laying down in a day dreaming state if a awake. But most like you would sleep the entire time and when asleep the person or people doing the massage could take a break.

And as for what could cause it maybe having a busy schedule and the strong will and energy to do everything and having fun doing it could cause it.

Another cause lots of sleep or litttle sleep could be your diet or drugs. But if your have a normal diet and don't like drugs. Then I would suggest massage and assume busy.

My friend had the exact same problem and once she saw the doctor it came back that she had mono (Mononucleiosis). You should really see your doctor, escpecially if you have a sore throat, mono can completely inflame organs and shut down your kidneys. I had been drinking out of her water bottle in bball and eventaully I started sleeping for days at a time too. Some people won't have any symptoms other than being sleepy all of the time others will feel flu-like symptoms. Good Luck, I really suggest talking to your doctor.

Before you go to the doctor, try taking the pressure off of yourself. If you lie in your bed and desperately try to fall asleep, your body gets stressed out and wakes up even more. Try reading a book. Also try drinking chamomile tea or taking Melatonin (it is not a sleeping pill, more like a vitamin which helps your body relax). Try taking Tylenol PM--that stuff knocks me right out. If this sleeplessness continues, see a doctor and consider the possibility that you may be depressed. Good luck!

If you havent been able to get up to eat or been able to do your regular daily task you may have a genuine sickness. You should really monitor that. For example have someone try to wake you up and see what happens. If you act really loopy or cant make out words you should probably see your doctor. I cant think of the disease at the moment but it comes in spells through out your life that can last up to a month. You should really monitor this closely. Keep a journal.

Age, hormones, need rest, illness, depression, lazy, there could be a number of reasons. If you are a teenage, it probably has something to do with the hormone imbalance in your body. It tends to make you tired, especially if you are near menstruation.

not getting enough sleep in the past few weeks catching up to you, depression, an illness coming on, something wrong with your thyroid -

there are a lot of possible reasons - if you are concerned go see a doctor.

I don't think this is the section for your question and at the same time, you may be stressed out, taking medicines that aren't agreeing with your body, having some medical issues. If you want better answers, put your question in the health department.

Nothing legal or safe. If you find any thing that will and do it legal and safe, let me know. The body needs less than five hours rest, and if you give it more than forty-three hours more, you might hurt yourself.

maybe you have been pushing yourself too hard? Maybe you have been more active lately or opposite- maybe things are just catching up with you... I would also consider talking to a doctor - some illnesses can cause tiredness..
