when i say the complete dash i mean the whole dash, not just the trim so i can put a radio in, im trying to remove everything to custom paint it, so if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated, btw i have already checked the haynes book for my truck.

It does not come out as a complete unit, unfortunately. You have to slowly remove pieces until you get to the point of being able to remove the dash and frame from the firewall. You will still have the complete HVAC assembly on the firewall which will also have to come out. This is a huge job. Good luck.

personallyyyyyyyyyyyyy I prefer an 8# SLEDGE HAMMER

B U T if you want to use it again, this is not the best answer.
had to remove one on my T-bird turbo coupe..........a REAL pain.
a repair manual helps, but a common sense approach is best............make some notes and mark sequence of removal, etc.

remove all screws and bolts for it it is a couple hours job try repair manual .

start one screw at a time it will soon become obvious that it is time consuming and not an easy chore...no one can make it easier for you...if you approach it logically you can save your self time and not break anything...and not remove parts that you dont have to...

I am sure if you buy a repair manual for it it should tell you in there.
