Why did your doctor prescribe it to you and how did you react?

I hated it. It made me so anxious and revved up that I felt like I wanted to kill someone. This has happened to other people I know as well.
But some people it works for, so good luck!

I currently take Abilify at 10 mg for depression. (My diagnosis is bi-polar with psychosis.)
It was working pretty well for 6 months and now I'm getting more depressed all the time...... not sure what the doctor will recommend.
But Abilify worked better for me than Lexapro.

Having my Dr prescribe every drug in Abilify's category, none of the others addressed my symptoms fully.
Most of the other drugs had unpleasant side-effects.
With Abilify, it was a last resort, but we found I could take it without a problem, and my symptoms were all addressed.

I am on it now...I think I am doing fine with it. I was put on it because it was a replacement for zyprexa. I hate zyprexa because of the weight gain. I was put on it to control my bipolar roller coaster.

i take it for bipolar psychosis and delusions. it works pretty good when i take it. but i dont like medications
