If you mean you want to see if a friend or relative is in custody than you just call the police station.

If you want to see if somebody has an arrest on their record NO
An arrest is NOT a conviction and all an arrest is, is being accused. arrest does not prove guilt or innocense the courts do.

However, on an FBI background check for federal jobs ie; Top Secret Clearence then everything will show up.

Many times it is carried in the police log as that is public record!. Many papers have one, however, they do not keep theirs on-line very long and you have to pay for it once it is archived!

Convicted sex offenders are usually carried on line!

An arrest does not mean that they have been convicted of anything, and that you will seldom see in a newspaper!

You can do a search for the persons name. You will usually find sometyhing on them if they were charged! The above still applies!

The police legally cannot show you someones record or can not even look up anyones record. You can call the local police and see if he is wanted for anything or has any warrants out for their arrest but they cannot just look up peoples info.

It's not free, but a $40 report will tell you just about everything a person has done that's been recorded on paper / in a computer.
