Atheists, Christians, Catholics, Muslims, Jews, Hindus, etc claim that their way is the right way. Either they argue about how to worship god or if there is even one to begin with. But dont we need to focus on more important issues like global warming instead of insignificant things that ultimately arent even that serious to begin with?

Think about it. Global warming will probably get us before the jews get to build their temple or before the anti-christ comes. So first lets worry about saving the earth now and then about when it will end.

It just goes to show that people are ignorant and arrogant. Everyone has to think there way is the right way. I'll be the first to say that Greek Orthodox isn't the best religion out there, even though I am Greek Orthodox. But to mostly everyone religion is easier to worry about then globel warming and war.
But I agree with you totally and I'm not taking offense.

You seem comfortable making presumptions about such an enormous segment of the population of the world. I don't even know what my neighbors down the street are thinking, and you have insight into the minds of millions of people. This is likely a projection of your thinking, and may not have any basis in reality. You use the word "argue", when perhaps the phrase "believe differently" would be more appropriate. An observation, not a criticism -- your question is divisive and seems antagonistic as well. Only when all people realize that we have to take care of one another will we really be able to bring some true peace to the planet.

You need to stop listening to Al Gore. In the 1970's every magazine was telling America that we were approaching an Ice Age. Don't get me wrong, we should be proactive about protecting our environment but the world is not coming to an end soon because of the Ozone. Most of us that believe we are here for a purpose do prioritize eternity over the environment. Important and insignificant are subjective words in the context of your question.

So, your saying that whether you should go to Heaven or Hell is not important????? This is just one small phase on earth in our life, as we live on for an ETERNITY. And global warming will not occur, as stated in the Bible. After Noah had walked out of the boat, God made a covenant with Man by making a rainbow, so God will remember about the promise he made to not flood the earth again (Genesis).

Well to a lot of people religion is a very important part of life, for some it's even more important than global warming. But I do agree that people should stop bashing others religions and just let others believe what they want to believe.

What good will it benefit a man, to gain the whole world, and lose his soul?
Even if we save the world, fix all hunger, fix environmental problems, and create "world peace," the reality is that we all have eternal souls. We are not animals. Therefore, "worrying" about peoples' salvations is actually THE most important thing we can do. No one can escape death, and since we as Christians know that we face our God after death, it is so much more important than this life.
So, sorry to say it, but eternity takes precedence over this life, with all of its agendas. Actually, there is no comparison. This world is passing away like a vapor.....take heed.....

think about this, what is it if I told you that we are on a transition state here?
I mean after some time, the earth will be doomed and we all going to what is known as the after life state. at that state what will save us from hill and get us into heaven is our believes? Muslim, earlier Christian and earlier Jews all believe in the after life and they will go to heaven according to our convention!!!!!
thus doesn't contradict with one of the important reason for us being on earth beside worshiping God, God ordered us to preserve the earth and make every thing possible to make it better. So, we are workers on this earth for building it, and make it beautiful to the next generation that will come after us, and they will pass the torch to the next one and so on.
hope that helped

So your 'religion' of the environment and global warming is important to you.
Whereas, the 'religion' of God is important to others.
Are you a 'supremest' that your religion is greater than other?
Put God first and the global warming will be solved. The latter is the effect of failing in the former.

ephod07 i agree with you so much you took the words right out of my mouth. If the world will one day pass away why should i worry about global warming, after all the bible does predict these things so the most significant thing in my life is to see those around me and those i have connection with do have a life after this world is passed.

Being a Christian I find that my most important goal in life is to secure my eternal destination. And help others know that the choices they make now effect their eternal destination. And to help as many as I can get saved and join the kingdom of Heaven if they so choose. So no there is nothing more important.
