in my opinion it should be good for much longer ...I just tossed one out that had an expiration date on it....I always check those dates on everything I buy. As long as the bottle was sealed tight it should be safe...you can always smell it to see if it passes the nose test before you decide to eat it. You know you can make it yourself so easily.

Tartar sauce
combine 1 cup mayonnaise with 1 tablespoon of each:
minced pickle, parsley, bottled capers, onion, green olives. Nice with hot or cold fish or shellfish. Makes 1 and 1/4 cup.
If you don't have some of these ingredients it's OK...just put in what you have. I usually use sweet or bread and butter pickles...but some like dill. I also only use sweet onions ....

good luck.

It should have an experation date but Smell it And look around inside of jar for mold.. I would toss it htough.
Just a hint.. You have Mayo in your fridge always right ? Probably Pickles to ? TaaDaa... Tarter Sauce
Or buy relish it keeps for quite a awhile. To make a really good Tarter. Mix mayo, relish, dash of lemon juice and dash of worstershire sauce.. you'll never worry about it going bad again and you can say I made it myself , The Man told me how.

Absolutely. Tartar sauce is like any other condiment (mayonnaise, ketchup, etc.) It has an expiration date -- check it.

Tarter sauce is like mayo, it does last a while. To be on the safe side check the expiration date, or smell it if you don't have one if it smells good your good to go then.

If you've kept it cold, it will be fine at least until the date on the jar.... 3 weeks is nothing....

Tarter sauce is mayonnaise based, so it will last for months if properly refrigerated.
