If your girl calls, sms, email, chat with you all the time, even for the littlest things... is this too much for you?
What is then your limit? How would you like your girl to show you respect in this area?

i like it all its great to know im on her mind. get to know your guy- ask him. hell tell you. if theres times hed like a bit of distance, its just time away, not time hes not loving you

It all depends really. Sometimes I can text a girl and I will get a quick reply. So I will usually wait the same amount of time before sending one back. Occassionally I will leave it a few hours just to prove I am not some crazy person!
However, if a someone take a day to reply then I will usually take a day to reply as well. What really freaks me out is emails. When I send an email and go and check my other mail and within minutes a new email has arrived from the girl I just sent. Personally I just think this just screams desperate and makes me run a mile.
The best is waiting say a day or two for an email and an hour or two in between texts. Most people have their phones on them all the time now, so there should be little excuse to leave it so long.
There is a balance. Too much is obssesive and freaky. Taking a week to reply says this person is not interested or they have a really busy social life, which leads me to think where I would ever fit into such a hectic schedule!

Its hard to set a specific limit - if the girl has less common sense than her urges to contact her man...big problem ...the man will loose respect for her because its a two sided issue.
On one side she should know better - although if the guy says nothing then it can be argued who is at fault.
On the other side the little things should not be a reason to communicate - you should be communicating about important things like "do i call too much?" =]
if you think it might be too much - it certainly is.

I think that anything can be too much if it's not mutual. I mean, when I am dating a girl, I like to do all/most of the initiating. If she is calling all the time, it can be a real turn off, even if I really like her.

i call her a few times a week, she calls me a few times i week. when the weekend rolls around, we miss each other so much, best sex we ever had.

as for me there is no limits i like chit chatting with her it makes me feel like im da speacial one in her life it makes me happy it makes me feel like she can tell me everything and she trustes with everything she tells me
