When I'm interested in a guy on a personal level i will become very witty, funny, in my emails (IM). How much of this do guys really enjoy, or does it wear thin and they don't take a peron seriously??

It can wear thin if that's all you do and don't get serious on occasion. Being witty and funny is good but we like balance in conversations.

Personally, I love it. Then again, I'm the same way when I'm interested in a girl. Although I have IM'd banter to the point where I was getting bored with it, but at the same time hated to stop because it was hilarious and it kept us talking. So maybe just exercise your better judgement.
