Depends on the couple but I admit, I'm biased towards early 20s. I had my daughter when I was 21. I think early to mid 20s is good because have a lot more energy to keep up with your kids, and when your kids leave the nest, you're still young enough to get out there and have fun. I couldn't even imagine trying to be pregnant at my age (46).

When you are financially stable, including a stable salary and things like health and life insurance, and emotionally ready. And psychology has shown that people don't fully understand the consequences of their actions until they are about twenty five. But most importantly, think about whether or not you can take care of yourself, in every aspect imaginable. If you can't, can you take care of another human being who is completely and totally dependent on you?

I cringe when I see younger parents (those who have kids any time they're 18-25). My parents were both in their forties when they had me, and I'm thankful for it. They were both kind of wild in their early twenties, and being older parents that they were in raising me, they were a lot more mature and handled me better than a younger mother and father would have.

So I'd say at least when you're thirty, at the very least.

No age. We have enough people on the planet and don't need any more babies. People who think their children are "special" are nuts.
