Here are some of the reactions.
1.ears red
2. chills
3.fever
4.not eating.

I also put this on a cat and another dog and they are not having a reaction the medicine didn't kill the fleas on the dogs at all. Even though all the animals I put the medicine on they have bald spots around their butt, my cat has it around his neck. Could it be a reaction to the medicine or is it something else. The problem is I don't have any money for the vet and my dog is small so I can't take her in their till 1:00 in the afternoon. PLEASE HELP

It could be an allergic reaction to the flea medicine. Dogs can be allergic to different things too just like us humans. Since she's having chills you should keep her warm in most times of the day. When dogs don't feel good, they also kind of lose their appetite (like humans). Better to see the vet. If you don't have money, try going to an animal shelter's vet to get a check up for free if ever.

The Hartz brand of flea repellants are absolute crap. A lot of dogs have been having reactions, including seizures. I only recommend Frontline Plus, which you can purchase at a vet's office. Those off brands don't even work and they cause serious side effects.

well of course, hartz is crap. your dog needs to see a vet now. i'm sorry you don't have any money but your dog is in dire need of veterinary help. find a way. and next time get flea meds from the vet. also i hope you didn't put the dog stuff on the cat, it can kill your poor cat. i'm sorry i can't help you more your dog needs veterinary attention now. do not bathe your dog!!!! if she has a fever, or is cold, a bathe can dangerously lower her temp and make things much worse.

Hurry and wash it off! Never use Hartz or Sargeant's flea products! A lot of animals have died from reactions to them.I would wash the other animals, too. And what does the size of your dog have to do with the timing of her vet appointment? Anyway, after you wash it off, make sure she drinks a lot of fluids (water, milk, broth) to get the stuff out of her system, and then get her to the vet asap.

You really need to take the dog to a vet ASAP, heaps of things can cause those syptoms and you need to get it checked. Ring the vet and explain you cannot pay today and ask if they will invoice you and let you pay later or pay it off over a few weeks.

Call your vet and ask him.
