If you could have chosen your parents would you keep it the same or would you have had different parents??

I KIND of got that chance in real life... my parents divorced and I got a new step MOTHER (my father remarried ) and a new step FATHER (my mother remarried)... My father and I well, he wasn't a nice guy all the time to me and there were a LOT of problems between us but my STEP FATHER was (and still IS) a great man.. he would have been a wonderful father to have had growing up but he didn't meet my mother until I was almost 20. My mother? well she was very hard and cold most of my life---still is...not sure how she got my stepfather to marry her... but they are happy and that's fine. I would definitely have chosen different parents.....HOWEVER, I have many physical problems and I'm not sure if having other parents would have made me the strong woman I turned out to be all my life....but I sure could have used a better childhood....maybe some other time.

That's a TOUGH question! My father had a lot of faults and was emotionally hurtful but I don't think that I would have traded him in for another model. My father was a closet homosexual. He married my mother in 1947 and back then, it was rare for a spouse to "come out of the closet". So my beloved mother didn't know for several years until one of my father's co-workers made an anonymous phone call to the house. My father, 'till his last breath, denied his sexual preference and multiple affairs with men throughout the 50-year marriage to our mother. But we three children knew...and loved our father, regardless.

Different parents. My moms normal volume is yelling to me. I would have chosen a quieter mom, but my dad is ok.

well, like it or not, genetics actually plays more of a role in our personality than environment.

so if u choose new parents, you basically have to change some aspects of ur current personality and looks.
