Would you expect to find an oak thicket anywhere in Wyoming?

You can expect to find thickets of Bur and Gambel Oak dispersed among the Cottonwoods, Pines and other various trees but they are going to be in the woodlands areas of the Rocky Mountains areas.

i personally have not seen such a thing. most of Wyoming is exceptionally dry, 12 inches or less rainfall annually. The western edge (Jackson/Yellowstone) gets more water, but the dominate deciduous is Aspen and Ash.
