it's like a circut breaker has been tripped. is there some thing else i should be using such as a surge protector,voltage stablizer, monster power products?

You may also want to check your speaker wiring. I had this exact thing happen to me and I found a short where I had spliced some wire together touching.

Hi.Sounds like the Amplifier is overloading and the protection circuit is activated.What speakers are you using with your Amp?Do they have the same impedance as the Amp.? What is the minimum and maximum Amplifier power requirements( in watts) for you speakers.
