Everyone I know, the recruiter tells them to lie about that stuff because the recruiters are so desperate to get the people and meet their goals. It is sad, because if his lie causes problems with him continuing to be in the Army, like being successful, I would think the recruiter should be responsible. But of course that won't be the case. Your fiancee is responsible for his own actions and the recruiter will say "Will I didn't tell him to lie, I said if you want to go to join then what do you need to do about that problem," or whatever. In other words, he covers his butt. I hope all goes well.

Um... no he isn't in the clear.
The recruiter is doing something that is very unscrupulous. You should not lie about anything on a document you give the government.
A sprained ankle is not a serious injury, so it can probably be overlooked. But in the worst case, if someone goes after him, it could contribute to grounds for dishonorable discharge. It is unlikely, but you may want to consider amending the forms that you've filed so that you are covered legally.

One of the seven Army values is integrity another is honor. Your fiancee violated both of these values when he lied about his medical history. The honorable thing for him to is to come clean about his falsification. Of course this would take some personal courage on your paramor's part, another of the Army values. Since the injuries are so minor that the Army would've overlooked them in the first place I can hardly think that there would be any action other than his learning these values while attending his training.
To more thoroughly answer your question though, if he decides to say nothing the Army isn't going to be so petty to take any action especially in a time of war.

they will try to scare him in bootcamp to tell he truth for the most part as long as it is not a big deal and he does as his recruiter told him he'll be fine however if he rats out his recruiter he might get charged bad times they really want to know major **** but because of that they have to sweat the small stuff to no big deal if he gets hurt in bootcamp etc.. they'll take care of it he just has to remain true

if all he had was a sprained ankle whyinhell did he start off his military career by LYING and COMMITTING FRAUD???!!!
if it was something more serious, that's even WORSE, since he is potentially putting himself and others at risk.
one of the core values is integrity. he has shown NONE by being deceitful. even if he never gets caught, he still has to live with that. and when he does get caught, it will go even worse for him because he did so.

Yes, they will try to get it out of him in the early stages of boot camp. They won't say "Ankle Injury" but they try to convince you that they know something about you lieing.
The only people in boot camp that got discharged were people that failed their drug tests when arriving to boot camp.
This doesn't apply to people that just dont cut it or have discipline problems through out boot camp.
The militaries saying is "If you volunteered, they don't want to let you go."
I hope our civilization is not on your fiances shoulders and his ankle gives out and we all die.

He really should have owned up to his compulsive roundhouse kicking disorder which requires him to roundhouse kick at least two guys a day, or one if that dude has a beard and looks like Britney Spears with facial hair.

There's a chance they'll kick him out for fraudulent enlistment, but I've never seen that happen. If it's for something serious, and they find out about it, they'll probably medically discharge him. I have seen that happen.
