Apply the Visa by yourself is fast and easy. The cost is standard. No express way to go around it.

I will assume that you live in the US.

The Visa turn around time is one (1) working day.
Usually, you will need to drop it off in the morning and pick up by noon.

The applicant must submit a written statement explaining the purpose of the extension to BOCA or its branch offices, and should also submit relevant documents concerning the emergency. The applicant must also prepare the required documents set out in Q1. (Note: if the application is denied, the application fee is non-refundable). However, this does not apply to:

1. Visitors who have entered Taiwan on visa-exempt entries or on landing visas;
2. Visitors who have overstayed their visas; and
3. Visitors who have already changed the status of their visas.

Holders of visas which are valid for 60 days and which do not bear the stamp “No extension will be granted” can directly apply for an extension of their visa at National Immigration Agency with the relevant documents.

Read the information on the internet site underneath...underneath "Entry Requirements" and "Please Note". You are going to have got to touch the Taiwanese consulate as your plans do nto have compatibility with their general visa as defined right here. Contact information could also be given in this website. As a long way as "speedy and low-cost' is going...you need to get your visa via the Taiwanese consulate, so you'll have got to pay the cost they set they usually manipulate the time. Good Luck.
