And if you do believe in Global Warming you are seriously ignorant, I admit I'm proud of you for taking an interest in trying to save the planet. But in the end there is just as much info against it as there is for it, so sorry to say that but its true :(

You are right. There are probably a lot of people who are ignorant to the facts of global warming, but it is not necessarily their fault. The government has not done much to educate America. It is up to each and everyone of us to do our part. Start by lowering your electrical use today. Do what you can, every little bit counts.

Your premise that global warming is believed shows that you are referring to something of faith, like a religion and are not referring to science.
Ever wonder why there's no argument that the Earth is 93 Million miles from the Sun?
Because anyone can duplicate the results. Global warming is political and requires a 'consensus' to read the tea leaves.

not every conservative is a global warming skeptic, but every global warming skeptic is a conservative.
.....not ignorant or stupid, but brainwashed by corporations like ExxonMobil:
http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php?title=ExxonMobil_funding_recipients
virtually all of those 1% of scientists who disagree with man made GW recieve exxon money.
Some energy companies have not taken transition steps and stand to loose billions. So they are more than willing to pump millions into denial in order to buy time.
The main idea behind man made global warming is based on scientific FACT:
Human activity increases greenhouse gas concentration which increases the greenhouse effect. - note that this statement is completely factual.
Skeptics use multiple ideas to deny global warming and all are based on scientific HYPOTHESIS, often times incorrect/disproven hypothesis (like the sun).
When every member of a scientific hypothesis belongs to only one political affiliation, there is a problem.

With a 140+ IQ and being a voracious reader, I am hardly ignorant, arrogant maybe, but not ignorant.
Believe what you want, let the rest of us question the "obvious" and really learn something.

Once again you are Ignorantly mixing up Man Made Global Warming and natural global cycles of warming and cooling. For your theory to hold up you have to throw out things like the Natural activity cycles of the Sun, that temperatures gos up before Co2, that we have a written history of times that were hotter than today with Higher Co2 levels and that those temps went back down with out the help of Man before. SO just who is being Ignorant?

Something that I found out long ago is that if you want to convince someone of your point of view, the one thing you don't want to do is to insult them or call them names. I've never seen that tactic ever work in any other way but to make someone perhaps more entrenched in their view. Just a word of advise.

Science can be confusing at times, esp. when in the wrong hands. Schools provide instruction according to curriculum which have been approved by regents. Regents seek to appease states, who in turn have a national agenda to satisfy, e.g. history taught today vs. previous history classes, i.e. certain aspects change about every 4-5 decades. Similarly, sociology, anthropology, even various principles relevant to "psychology" have each been modified wherefrom to promote specific ideology as intended. Underlying, though denied by many secular educational systems, a quasi-religious premise.

You're free to believe your religion of "global warming," but don't call others ignorant just because they don't have the same belief.
There's no scientific proof that humans cause global warming. CO2 represents less than 0.03% of the atmosphere and humans contribute about 0.037% of that. Do the math. That's one tiny footprint. Gore's footprint is 25 times more than the average, but it's still incredibly small.
The greenhouse effect is what keeps us from freezing when the sun goes down. So even if humans by some remote chance helped that effect, it would be a good thing.
Most reputable scientists who aren't paid off will agree that there's no evidence that humans cause any effect at all. Either study the issue or just believe it blindly.
Believing in something without proof is known as religion. As I said before, you're free to believe in what you like, but don't expect others to share your beliefs. And calling them ignorant just emphasizes your ignorance.

That the planet has increased in mean temperature over the last fifty years in not in dispute...the degree to which human beings are responsible is in question. The science that Al Gore is hypeing, when looked at closely, shows that carbon dioxide is not a cause but an effect of higher temperatures. He conveniently ignores this. The temperature on Mars has also been rising. Let's not pretend that the solitary source of heat and energy in our solar system...i.e. the Sun...is somehow exempt from suspicion in this whole equation. The Sun has periods of heating and cooling on its own scale, and to deny that that would have an effect on the planets that orbit it is either foolishness or agenda driven.
