Depends on how well I know him. My husband? If we're alone I tell him to breathe the other way. If we're out in public I slip him a piece of gum. After 21 years he knows what that means. ;o)

A friend? Turn my head, maybe cover my nose, if it's REALLY bad offer him a piece of gum. Gum is good.

A stranger or business associate? Stay upwind as much as possible, or dab a little (tiny) bit of perfume under my nose to mask the smell.

YEARS of experience. Everyone has bad breath now and then.

Well I might breathe through my mouth and try not smelling anything at all, but otherwise, I'd stand a little further away from him. I don't want to be too rude (unless it is an ongoing thing, then I might say something).

I will minise my conversation with him in the first instance. I will also "hint" to him, asking him what had he just eaten. Also, will ask him if he does brush his teeth after each meal? Finally, if he still dun get it(which most men are typically like), i will jus shove him a bottle of listerine.

Well perhaps be a bit disgusted but fix the problem by giving the guy a mint or asking him to please brush and rinse, luckily I haven't met many of these but yeah you should REALLY keep your mouth fresh and clean. :-

if its my husband, relative, or close friend, I politely pull them aside and tell them.. If I dont, who else will? I think they really need to know to correct it..
If its a stranger, I just sort of hold back and hopefully someone closer to him will tell him..

I get really awkward, and sometimes, I even give them a mint or gum or something.
