What's a Fun Redeployment Change?

Question

We are trying to come up with a top ten list for a redeployment shirt. Kinda like the "You might be a redneck if..." but military "You know deployment is over when...." Anybody got any good ones like...You know the deployment is over when you have to start shaving your legs again. Looking for wives, parents, and kids ideas. Thanks for your help!!

Do I Have to Say Be Nice?

Ok here are a couple, You know deployment is over when the AA batteries stay stocked at Walmart or When you stop replacing the batteries in your toy every week. =)

Okay these come from hubby (lol)
- you no longer put makeup on to go to the commissary or to the mail box
-you know longer know the club bouncers by name

I say:
- your grocery bill goes up and your phone bill goes down
-you are buying more laundry soap because you are washing 3 sets of clothes every day and that is just from him
- you have extra money cause you are no longer paying the neighbor boy to mow the lawn
-you start hearing from the inlaws again
-it takes 2 hours to get onto post and you live 5 minutes away
-you no longer know what is on TV because your hubby has control of the remote
-you don't know what is going on with the post office workers' family's anymore
- you get "We've missed you" cards from local drive thru restaurants
-You have to check and make sure the toilet seat is down when you get up to pee in the middle of the night

I am a soldier and the wife of a deployed soldier. Those of you who have negative things to say please have some respect for the ones who are going through this for the love of their country. We as soldiers have enough to deal with, and those of us who have soldiers out there and are home raising kids do not need your disrespect. Grow up!


You know your soldier is coming home when your shopping lists no longer include 10 different types of chocolate ice cream.

You know your soldier is coming home when you unpack your thigh master.

You know your soldier is home when you start paying your sitter to take the kids for the weekend.

You know deployment is over when you are sent home in a pinewood box.

Support the troops by getting them the hell out of Iraq.

You might need to go to ten hours of intense therapy because you suffer from post traumatic stess disorder from having your legs blown off by an IED. Then you shoot your girlfriend in the face because you think she is an insurgent and wear her blood as protection from the roving death squads. Then you pee yourself because that's want dead guys would do.

Your young children don't remember you and the wife is sloppy as hell because she was not kept in line with daily beatings.
