I actually find this positive. Your therapist must really CARE about you and believe that she can help you. Perhaps she invests more time in you because her feelings for you want you to be well and succeed.
So what, if something about you triggered her to be more "personal" and caring. As long as she does not harm you, there is no problem.
There are many styles of therapy ~ she sounds very humanistic.
I had a therapist like this and I did the best work with her. She cared incredibly about me and I knew it.
Sometimes therapists find people they are more attracted to and it makes therapy more personal. It's not a bad thing unless you feel it is harming you.

That's extremely unprofessional for a therapist to say that. It can have unforeseen circumstances...
Fate? Took you but she can't take your insurance? I would find a therapist who isn't comparing me to other clients, who accepts my insurance and is more prone to carry a professional attitude and not consider the combination as "fate"... So what happens if it doesn't work out between you and her? What are you supposed to think? It was fate? Well make your own future and take steps to finding a new therapist.
I've had many therapists due to insurance and having to move around. If any of them said I was "fate", thhey would have been canned!

There should be no talk of payment. You have insurance and you're there for help not to talk of how they are doing you a favor.
I would get the heck out of there and find a reputable person that you feel comfortable with.
This is absurd.

Bad News! Your therapist needs therapy.
Good News! You're well enough to know when something ain't right.
You ask for help and people are responding.
Keep looking, you will find the help that you need.

sure - it's called the bait and switch - she gets you to believe she cares about YOU more than anyone else (she's stroking your ego - making you feel important - which as a psychologist she knows is one of the most motivating things for a human being - sooner or later she'll say that since your insurance won't pay for her services you'll have to pay her - i'm sure she'll say at a discount from her normal rate - and then you'll be paying her
you see when insurance is involved - Doctors usually get paid a lot less than their published rate - when you pay them instead of the insurance company - you usually end up paying them 3 - 4 times more for the same service than the insurance company

something is wrong with that statement...there is a therapist code of conduct that says that they are not supposed to compare you to other clients or talk to you on a personal level like that....either she is a scam therapist trying to charm you into keeping her business or she is starting to have "feelings for you"....many therapists actually fall for their clients whether they're male or female. i would switch therapists.

That seems unprofessional to me (I've had many years of therapy lol)
Therapists always say to me that there has to purely be a professional relationship and bounderies set.
It sounds like your therapist overstepped those bounderies....

obviously she see's something in you that she does not get from the majority of her other clientls.... she could be compelled by your lifestory, and seem like she belongs in your life to help you as your thereapist.. My therapist is not always profesional with me and that is what makes you comfortable with them......the fact that she is opening up and crossing that line of professionalism means you found a great therapist that REALLLLY cares about your life..
