Yes religion is a easy way through life......that's why I don't believe in religion....I believe in the Father, Son, Holy Spirit..and every day as a Christian is a sweet existence of discovery, joy, and excitement. When I'm learning about what is waiting for me when my time here is over, and the heartbreaking realization that so many people are so blind to the truth about God....some because of being tought through generations of backward, uneducated well meaning people that have interpreted the Bible to suit them in the ability to keep people under their control and putting themselves in a position of control, some in a God like dictatorship. I thirst for information and understanding, and pray for the ability to comprehend everything that I discover. And I'm yet to run out of the desire to know, the more I know the more I want to know

God isn't the easy way. The easy way is to take the non-believing route. This is because you can live your life with sin and without guilt, and by not educating yourself and simply remaining ignorant then it's not necessarily your fault as no one showed you the way.
If you are religious you must follow your religion, which is sacrifice, it's about putting others before yourself, it's about loving God no matter what. It is about having faith. It is not the easy way, it is the harder way, but the more rewarding way.

If I tell you that 2+2 = 4, do you have to say I am wrong? Do you have to disavow any knowledge of this, a basic tenant, before seeking the truth?
It is often quoted that we stand on the shoulders of giants. This is true for chemistry, physics...indeed all science. Why should it not be true for morality? Why must we, as you appear to claim, re-commit the mistakes of yesterday in order to live a moral life? Why not learn from the mistakes of 2000 (and more) years ago?

In some ways, you seem to have grasped exactly what God probably wants from us.
To grow up. To be independent.
To stop eating of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil and see each other clearly.
God is the easy way, but like the saying goes, which has deeper meaning than many people realize:
Trust in God, but tie up your camel.

No, man made religion is binding, conflict causing, manipulative, regulatory, unloving, and impossible to carry out.
Forging through life on your own is the same. You will mess up.
Following Jesus in a personal relationship is freedom, protection, meaningful and loving. I wouldn't take one step without Him.

Many people are following your example and their end is as sure as the book you have read about. Have you ever heard "Why build another wheel?" We human being cannot possibly make anything better than the One who created the heavens and the earth.

If you really believe that try being a Christian. Satan doesn't give a flip about attacking you guys because you're already on his team. If you try to live a Godly or Holy life just see what obstacles rise against you. It's not EASY to be a Christian in this unholy & ungodly world. The Bible says Satan is roaming about seeking whom he may devour. Who do you think he is likely to try to devour? Someone doing God's work or someone doing his?

you have no idea. being a christian is really hard. i even told my pastor how hard it is just living in this earthly world. its kinda like peer pressure. you know you have to live right by god but you have ppl all around you doing things that looks fun but you know you are not allowed to do it because its not right. we also having ppl watching our every step just being we are Christians and if we step out of line they feel as if we are the biggest hypocrites.
