Why would he have to ask people to worship him when he is given a name above all names and worshiped by all forever ..he came not as the conquering king that they expected rather as the suffering servant ..although he was equal with god he laid it down and became as one of us becoming a little lower than the angels ..When christ comes into your heart and you dine With the father and the son and are filled with the holy spirit .. worship is all there is .. seems like a dumb question .. sorry kids

He never asked to be "WORSHIPED". He gave a credit to God for every miracle, every creation. He fullfilled all prior profecies from the old testament: bloodline, place of birth, reserrected, and his preaching work plus more. But, only through him can we be saved from our sins. So we read the bible and follow his commands and examples. Because he was a perfect man who can undo the sins of mankind that started with Adam, Eve and the serpant(Satan). His death was a ransom sacrifice so we can have a chance at everlasting life...Thats what the Bible teaches..we use it to preach to others as jesus did, until armogeddon comes in which only God knows the time.

Jesus said:

"Moreover, the Father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgment to the Son, that all may honor the Son JUST AS they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father, who sent Him."(John 5:22)NIV

The coming of Jesus was a fulfillment of many prophetic Scriptures, including this one that specifically says the Messiah is to be worshipped:

"In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into His presence. He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all peoples, nations and men of every language worshiped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and His kingdom is one that will never be destroyed."(Daniel 7:13-14)NIV

His disciples worshiped Him, at least after He had been resurrected.

"Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."(Matthew 28:16-21)NIV

Jesus always points to the Father and brought the promise of the Holy Spirit to all who believe.

God the Father declares Himself to be God and points to his Son Jesus as the only path to salvation. He sent his Holy Spirit to all who believe in His Son Jesus.

The Holy Spirit proclaims the Father as God and Jesus as Christ the Lord.

Jesus said I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father but by Me." He declares the Father worthy of all praise, but also points out, you aren't getting to the Father without Jesus.

Jesus wants you to worship his Heavenly Father. God wants you to accept the salvation he provided through His Son Jesus. We praise Jesus and worship His heavenly Father, the Everlasting God.

He did not ask to be worshipped, but He accepted worship when it came, as when Thomas knelt before Him and said "my Lord and My God". He also said we are to worship the Father, and that He and the Father are one. Therefore you cannot worship the Father without worshipping Him.

Communion / Last Supper

"Do this in remembrance of me."

Celebrating Communion is just one method of worship.

Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the light". He said, "No one can be accepted by the Father, but who goes through me".
