I'm not sure such topics as murder, gang rapes, and human sacrifice are appropriate for children.

I'd give it an X rating. It's inappropriate for children. Funny how you never learn of the "disgusting" parts until you're old enough to read it on your own, or hear about it from an unbiased person who isn't trying to indoctrinate you into their cult.

You're right. It discusses murder, rape, sexism, sacrifices, incest, homosexuality, killing babies, etc. I'll only listen to someone who as actually read the entire bible, and not just heard of the stories. I mean seriously, look up these things:

Ephesians 5:22 - 25 (Wives must submit themselves to their husband)
1 Corinthians 11:14 (Men having long hair is shameful)
1 Corinthians 14:34 - 35 (Woment aren't permitted to speak in church)
Leviticus 20:13 NAB (All homosexuals to be killed)
Leviticus 20:9 NLT (Death for Cursing Parents)
Deuteronomy 13:13-19 NLT (Kill the Entire Town if One Person Worships Another God)

Children shouldn't have to read these things early in life.

Most definitely. Especially in today's society. Cinderella is now pushing a PG 13 rating for excessive meanness. People need to lighten the hell up with the rating system. But yes, with violence (sacrifices, people being "struck down"), strong sexual themes, and scary scenes (end of times, the plagues) I woudl say it would easily get an R

score the Bible, extremely? You sound such as you have a lot of 'angst' against the wonderful e book on earth, it extremely is like looking right into a mirror of your soul, or is that what bothers you the main? in my view, i could value it an 'H'. Yep, the 'violence' by potential of your standards is virtually the comparable element we are doing with in the present day, and that contains your 'disbelief' by potential of ways. thank you as quickly as back for concrete evidence of God's observe. As 'He' pronounced, "interior the final day scoffers could come", and you're appropriate on time it style of feels. wonderful how persons like your self virtually continually circulate to pulling out scriptures that could desire to do with violence, and different issues 'you' don't understand, yet once you replaced your strategies we could nonetheless see you coming. examine a number of Lee Strobel's rants then come back to us such as your take, he sounded only such as you. we are praying for you only the comparable. with a bit of luck your eyes and strategies would be opened earlier they lay you down in that pine container, or cremate you.

NC-17; half of the things in the Bible would never clear an R-rating.

Life is R rated and the Bible reflects the lives of ordinary people.
