When you enter this world of R&S, do you come as a student, teacher, or something else.

so basicly, Do you come to learn only what confirms your belief, To help others believe what you believe, Or maybe just to see what/how everyone else is asking/responding.

I'm primarily here to learn about others and what they believe (or don't believe) and why. I've learned a great deal about the belief systems of others. I suppose I've done a little bit of teaching here, too, but mostly learning. So I'm mostly a student at heart, just like I am in real life.

I'm a bit of both, although I don't use YA as a pulpit. If someone asks for help or information, I'll gladly share my knowledge. I'm a spiritual person, and I will probably always be a student in some way. Gotta keep on learning, growing, and evolving. Overall, I guess I come here for "something else". I'm insatiably curious. I don't feel I've learned much, because R&S seems to be more of a platform for the Christians and Atheists. (That ole' pulpit thing again...) I was hoping for more discussion and less judgement and abuse.

I come as a bit of both student and teacher. I come to give my help on a subject that I am knowledgeable of and I also use it as a learning experience for myself--not to confirm what I believe based on what others say, but I guess just to see another point of view.

Basically when I come to R&S, if I ask questions, I want to know what others think and believe. But sometimes I asked questions that I don’t know myself, and I want to find out what the Bible says about certain topics and issues…coz they can get really confusing for me. Sometimes I want to know who believes exactly like me and confirms my belief, but a lot of the time, I struggle with things that I need help on and I want to know wat the Bible says about my situation. So I come as a student sometimes and something else other times…lol…I rarely come as a teacher!

Yes, I come to learn and also to teach. I think everyone has a valid point of view and I've learned a lot by being here on R&S.

I hope I might have taught as much as I have learned... That would be cool!

I'm a student in real life. But when I log in in YA, I come as a teacher seeking to answer Mormonism related questions because I love to share my knowledge about what I know is true.

If I am presented with a source that I"ve never seen or considered before; I'll certainly look into it.

Since many atheists used to be religion, it would appear that they can often claim to be more open minded.....they've already seen through at least one charade.

A wise man can always learn something, from anyone, at any time.
