I work with this guy had a brain tumor that they thought was inoperable. I was talking to him the other day about his faith and his cancer that he is now free of. He is the first survivor of this type of brain cancer surgery. One woman before him had had surgery on the exact same type of tumor and died on the table. The doctors wanted to try and save his life so they did the surgery. Bud (his name) died on the table three times.
In those times he had an out of body experience where he saw himself in the hospital bed with Mary and God by his side. He could not see God, but God explained to him that he was not done with his life on earth yet and that he was going back. God showed him what hell looked like. Hell for Bud was people living underwater and drowning, but still surviving. He told me that the people were absolutely miserable, but alive. God also showed him Heaven.
My coworker, Bud believed in God as his savior but now has not a doubt in his mind the truth! Amazing !

All Mary said was she asked if he knew who she was. She led him to God and then God talked to Bud. Bud never saw God and does not remember what he looked like.

He had already been declared dead on the table...it was past trauma and cardiac arrest.

I don't think what he saw was real. I do believe that he could be telling the truth, but I highly doubt that what he saw was really God and Mary.
When your body goes under heavy amounts of trauma "such as cardiac arrest" you body goes into a mode that is kind of like "shut down" or "hibernate". Your body does everything that it possibly can to protect your brain.
When your body does this it causes hallucinations. These hallucinations are like dreams except much more real because of the limited activity of the brain. Many people think they see "heaven" and "hell" because during these procedures they of course have death on their minds.
It is common knowledge that things that trouble you often manifest themselves in dreams and these dreams that people have on the verge of death are no different.
This explains why so many people have these "visions of heaven" while undergoing surgery. This also explains why all of these visions are completely different, because no two people have the exact same dream. The way your mind perceives things is as unique as your fingerprint.
All of what I have told you is backed up by scientific study and evaluation. You may believe it you might not, but thats my explanation of why that happened to your friend.

Out of body experiences arise routinely when the part of the brain called the angle gyrus is stimulated. Since this was brain surgery, such an experience is not in the least surprising.

I would have believed it except for the mention of Mary and the hell description being water....not biblical at all.
