The purpose of all the major religious traditions is not to construct big temples on the outside, but to create temples of goodness and compassion inside, in our hearts. - The 14th Dalai Lama

The lost gospel states ( not exact)

Split a peice of wood I am there,
Lift a rock, you will find me.
said by Jesus, meant for exactly what you said.

And as far as I'm concerned you can believe what you want and call yourself what you want.

Yes, because that is a Christian concept Our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit... and we are to grow more into the likeness of Jesus Christ (who even the Dalai Lama says is a good person)

That sound beautiful but the reality is that Christians Cathedrals and Churches around the world are BIG.
Take look of the San Peter in the Vatican City or Notre Dame in Paris. Do you know that this temples are designed to stand and not to seat? The exterior design was more important than the interior design in many Gothic and Renaissance Cathedrals.

I get it. Christians can believe this and still be Christian because Christ said it ALSO.

Go Figure.

I will, however, add another addition to my inner temple to accommodate those who are so short-sighted that they cannot even give credit to another Master for a beautiful perception of what this world should be about.

Why would that contradict any Christian teachings? I get very irrate at people who call themselves Christian who belong to churches where they spend millions of dollars on fancy buildings while the homeless, orphaned and hungry cry out for help. I would rather meet in someone's ramshackle hut then fellowship at a church like that.

A christian is a person who allow Jesus to take away all his sins at the Cross. Believing in silly things cannot supercede Jesus's works at hte Cross.

I agree with the Dahlia Lama and perhaps he got his teachings from Jesus who said the kingdom of God is within.
