The jail where my son is will allow him to have a tv but you must be able to see into it. I can't seem to find one anywhere. Do they make them like that or is the jail just blowing smoke?

Clear cased televisions are sold, but they are almost exclusive to prisons. They are used so that inmates may not hide items inside of the televisions. I have been attempting to find one for sale for you. However, the only one I can find is at Bobbarker.com. (No relation to the Price is Right.) They sell property and items almost exclusively for jails. Sadly, they are difficult to purchase from if you are not a government agency. I suggest that you contact them and see if they can help you.

The jail has a company that makes and sells them. Just ask the jail. It works that way in Ohio.

Maybe you can get a plastics company to glue together sheet plastic to make a substitute box for the TV innards to go into.
