are not embarrassed by the fruitcake like ravings of their fellow believers? The ignorant comments I read sometimes make me laugh so hard it hurts. The inane rantings just confirm my conviction that being an Atheist is they way , the truth and the light.

As a Christian, I can say that some of the fundies do rave like fruitcakes. However, an intelligent Christian knows that Jesus didn't beat anyone over the head to follow Him. He set an example and loved them into following.

Since i probably fall into the "fruitcake" category, the answer would have to be no. I had a very long laugh this morning about an article an atheist posted, it was so ridiculous. Laughter is the best medicine they say...

I shake my head at people like that. I shake my head at people that rant about anything to be honest. They all end up looking like fruitcakes to me. I don't really agree with many of the statutes of the fundamentalists, but I respect their right to state what they see as right. However, I don't respect the right to rant and rave like a lunatic. We are supposed to be representing Christ. That's not really a good way to do that.

Gotta admit, I was rather embarrassed by that dummy that assked the classic, "if people came from monkeys, why are there still monkeys?"
I was sure that would precipitate a landslide of idiotic copycat questions. Thankfully, I never saw it. I guess the people here are starting to grow up.

Did you ever realize that all the conflict between men is a result of differing opinions on what is good and evil, right and wrong? That is why God commands men to leave the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil alone. No man can capably and consistently determine these differences. Only God can. He decides good from evil, right from wrong, and WE follow HIS way.
