I take xanax if I am getting a tattoo or not. Living in Alabama will not make any difference.

I take Xanax as needed for panic attack management. If you feel that the procedure may cause such an episode, I can understand why you would ask this question.
Although your doctor okayed the use of the drug, you should also make sure the tattoo artist doesn't see a problem. I know nothing of tattooing, but I guess it's possible that Xanax could interfere.
In the end, the specific tattoo artist you are seeing will provide a better answer than any of us could.

If its your RX and your DR said ok then yes you can. I've done pretty much everything on xanax at one time or another. I'd say negotiate the price, pick the tattoo and the artist before you take the xanax. Also, some artists may have a problem with it so I would NOT tell them. They are required by law to tell you not to take any substance but if your DR said ok then its ok. The tattooists are not dr's.

I take Xanax whenever I feel like I'm going to have a panic attack and the day I was going to get my tattoo, I HAD to take it. I was freaking out. My tattoo artist didn't have a problem with it. I think they usually check to see if you are taking anything that can cause you to bleed more than usual. You should be okay.

I are not able to see in which it would be a trouble from a clinical perspective, however you rather might desire to verify along with your tattoo artist first. Or no less than ensure to take it good upfront. I recognize that the essential meds they more commonly is not going to tattoo you in the event you've taken lately are matters like ibuprofen and aspirin that may be blood-thinners :) I truthfully have a extreme anxiousness disease with common panic assaults as good and fortunately to this point have not panicked throughout a tattoo. This final time was once hard because it was once far more painful (at the again of my neck/higher again) however I spotted that having one in all my first-rate peers there with me rather helped calm me down, peculiarly because she was once even inclined to keep my hand if I wanted. Having a hand or perhaps a filled animal to squeeze onto might not be a foul proposal, as good as maybe taking an iPod/mp3 participant to hear track whilst you are getting inked to maintain you distracted. I even have a mantra I repeat in my head, I say "This feels first-class, this feels first-class, this feels first-class" and it does look to support curb affliction. Best of good fortune hun!!!!

i don't get it. what do you mean? do you already have this tattoo? what does taking xanax have to do with the tattoo artist? i don't see the connection or how it could hurt you to take xanax with a tattoo. anyhow, your doctor already said it was ok.

tell your artist before you do... make sure that they know.... they may have a problem with it... just make an appointment beforehand... any *good* artist will ask on paperwork if you are taking any medication... but if they don't, make sure to let them know...
