My vote is that she is a nosey-nelly. I have a family member like that. She asked me what almost every single wedding item I bought cost. It drove me nuts. And if she heard a different price than I "quoted" she would call me on it. I told her I paid $2.50 for each program I had made, and she actually called the printer and was told $2.00. She called me right away to dispute what I had told her, little did she know the $2.00 price was only if you ordered 200 or more programs. I know she felt like a jerk, but I was secretly happy b/c after that, she didn't play that game anymore. If your feeling snarky, you should ask her why she wanted to know how much. You can do it in a pseudo-nice way, for example "Are you planning a big party? Why do I ask? Oh, because I figured why else would you want to know what my favors cost?"

oh, come ON! Is this so bad, or even surprising? Option a) she liked them, thought your idea for them was awesome, and wants to file the idea away for future use. She's not going to be so rude as to flat out ask you what they cost right after your wedding. Which is why she'd just find out on her own. Option b) she was just nosy as to what you spent. And if so, what's the big deal? Can you tell me you've NEVER checked to see how much a gift was that someone bought you? Ever? And this isn't even like that. Don't worry about it, enjoy your new married life.

Two options:
1. She is planning a wedding and tought the idea was great and she wanted to do the same
2. She felt the need to be nosy and tell everyone where you skimped and where you spent to much.
Ask her why she felt the need to check up on you and your spending. Make her aware(if scenario 2) that you feel uncomfortable with her doing that.

Maybe she's planning on doing the same thing for her wedding or a function she plans on hosting. If not then you do it because you are really freaking nosy.

Um, because she loves them and wanted to get some more after her favors ran out? Or because she wanted to do the same thing for either another party or have those as wedding favors as well? I dunno, I'm not her.
What did you say to her?

Is she maybe looking into the idea for her to use herself? I don't think she's just trying to prove you're cheap or anything, it sounds like maybe she liked the idea and wanted to use it. Why don't you just ask her why she did it??

She probably liked them and if she is not married, probably thinks its a good idea for her wedding.

all i can think of is either she wants to order some or someone she knows does...or shes just a busy body who wants to know how much they cost you....either way...if she is your BFF I cant understand why she wouldnt have just asked you...I'm sure you would have told her is she wanted to know.
