Yes. My dog is currently 12. I've had him since I was two. Dogs usually live pretty long. 10-16 years almost. But, if you are deciding to get a dog, medical problems do come up. If you want a big dog, Gerrman Shepards are great, but they get bad hip problems. Dachshunds get back problems, and etc. It really depends on the dogs blood lines, and health conditions of reletives. But most dogs live around 10-15 or 16 years, like I said.

I have had my 14 year old Toy Poodle Chihuahua mix for 13 years now and plan on having her many many more.
A dog's life expectancy depends on the breed/size of the dog. Smaller breeds live longer than larger breeds. I have known some chihuahuas that have lived up to 22 -23 years old.

You can have a dog for as long as it lives...
Some live 8-10 years; some live 12 years, some live more.

yea. Anybody could as long as the dog is healthy. Some dogs live more or less depending on breed and being healthy.

A dog can live a happy long life if you take good care of him or her and take your too the vet for a check up and shots and have your dog spade and or neutered.

You sure can! I adopted a dog from the humane society in 1993 and she was with me until 2006. She was a mix breed with lab and bull terrier. Regular vet visits helps tons and keep them on heartworm preventative. Let them live inside with you as one of the family.
