Pop-radar is when your detector goes off near the cop, but you don't get a ticket.
Laser is when you detector goes off very close to the cop, you may or not get a ticket.
Constant on Radar is when your detector goes off far from the cop, like over a hill, but you don't get a ticket.

Give me a break mckenziecalhoun. If you aren't going to give a response, why answer the question?
Those of us with brains would like to know when the pork is trying to poke us. Why don;7't you just go ahead and right a check to your local town and put "future speeding ticket" in the memo line.
Oh wait you may not have enough fun to get a 1 mile per over speeding ticket.
Just kidding love.

Most any wide band, k-band, and laser detector will do the trick, you just need to know how to use it:
Don't let the pork lie to you, both can be defeated with detectors. A little care must be taken. Find a good wide band radar/laser detector. As you cruise the road pay attention to when it goes off and how it goes off.
Most pork in the country use older style constant on radar. This radar emits a signal all the time and is easily defeated by a radar detector. No more tickets from that fat a** country pork.
Bigger city cops and State Patrol use pop-radar and laser.
Pop-radar emits a signal when the pork pulls the trigger or pushes the button. Since it emits a band of radar signals the detector will pick these up as well. They will also detect this over hills, etc... You should be careful though in that the pork often hides and if you're the only one on the road you may get popped before you can react.

Laser is tougher to beat is used by Highway patrol and some police traffic patrols. It emits a very narrow band of light that almost has to be pointing at your detector. However, the bouncing signal from other cars will set your detector off and make it seem like you got popped. Again take caution when driving alone on the road.
You can defeat laser with a device that emits a signal back to the gun and causes it to error out. Some of these devices are illegal but many are not.
Always remember the pork is out there to poke you. They are the legal mafia and have bosses that make them take your money.

Wouldn't it be fun if the law-abiding folks in Yahoo! sent in dozens, if not hundreds, of false locations?
Speeders everywhere slowing down to the speed limit every 50 yards or so?

Sounds like you are a little bitter toward the police. Why? Were you doing something wrong AND GOT CAUGHT?
If you showed as much respect to the officer that stopped you as you do in this question, it's no wonder you got a ticket. You earn respect by giving respect. I bet you wouldn't use the word "pork" to the officer's face, would you?!?
