I don't believe in Never Never land and if someone tells me I'll go there if I don't believe in fairys...hey I'd laugh, so why get so upset.
on the other hand I do believe men has no right to judge anyone it's not our job. and it's very RUDE to say like Go to H&LL. or stuff like that.
but really I'm curious why it upsets PPl being told they must believe in Jesus or they won't go to Heaven IF they think it's all bunk...?

I think you miss the point...Christians believe in Heaven and hell, they don't wish hell on anyone they do however warn them and share a free gift of grace in hope that they will chose wisely.
but my question wasn't is it mean to tell someone to "go to h3ll " but telling them how to escape it, and if it's BUNK whats the deal, can't you see the GOOD intentions?

Churchy Le Femme....read the question. I never said PPl saying to you GO TO H$LL, I said warning you of such a place.
you have free will to believe or not I respect that choice, but we "warn " because we really do believe and have a heart felt concern for our fellow man,

Skittles...I see your point thank you.
but I think the biggest misconception about christians is that they ( wish hope or want) other people to end up in a eternal torment. That is so far from the truth. Maybe it's a lack of proper communacation that causes this problem.
It is just the opposite Please under stand we truly with our whole heart believe and we have a concern for our fellow man...bottom line. it's love not hate that motivates us.
and I'm sure if you believed if I was to walk across the street and a car would run over me you would not hesitate to warn me out of consern..as I would warn you..

Jim L...those are just RUDE ignorant PPL. to say such things to you.
But I can say this I know lots of Christains like my self that would fight for your rights, NO ONE has a right to tell anyone what to do, or believe or not believe , sharing our belifes is what makes the USA great but shoving it down PPL throats is wrong, and why would they think your immoral ? makes no sense to me. thats crazy.

THAT is an excellent question!
~EDIT~
Sheeesh--come on, people! It's not a "death threat," Christians certainly don't "wish it" on anyone, and it's not "meant as an insult". We just don't want to see anyone DAMNED!!! Is that really so hard to understand?

The first thing that comes to mind is the structure of the statement: "[you] must believe in Jesus or [you] won't go to Heaven". The basic form would be "you must do this or ..."
It contains a threat. I would be upset if I was threatened.
More generally, the sentence looks like coercion, with the word "must" implying urgency and thus also, immediacy.
Immediacy is integral to a second possible reason why the listener would become upset. I suppose that everyone likes to believe that they've made good life choices, especially if they've really tried hard to do so all their lives. Depending on how subtly the above world view is presented, it could be very easy for the receiver to see only the part of the statement that after all, implies "You're wrong, now change!". I think that many people don't tend to like change; they find comfort in familiar preferences in life. Especially if many changes are required to conform to a new world view, and if one of their strong preferences is for deciding at their own pace what beliefs to keep or incorporate, instead of instantly parroting what others say is the way, which seems to be the expected response to the statement under discussion.

R: Eat the asparagus! If you don't eat the asparagus you won't have dessert!!!
S: Er, I don't even like what you're serving for dessert, and I will NOT eat the asparagus, so please stop.
R: WHAT? You *have* to like dessert!! You have to like *this* dessert!! EVERYONE likes this dessert - you really do, too - you just don't want to have to eat the asparagus to have it, but that's not the way it works.
S: I don't want the dessert, so it's no big deal if I don't eat the asparagus. If I don't want the desert, why should you care?
R: There's something wrong with you! You'll find out in the end, when you're dessertless and miserable. There IS ONLY ONE dessert..and ONLY ONE WAY to get it, and you are throwing away your chance to have it!!!

I always find it annoying (at best) when others insist that I like what they like, want what they want, have the same goals as they do....I had a friend who used to tell me over and over and OVER about how bad the movies that I liked were, and she kept pushing me to go see the movies she liked. Well, I gave it a try, and found that I didn't like her picks for movies...when I told her that, she replied (in a huffy manner) "Well, I won't be inviting YOU to go to movies with me!!"
Here's the funny part - she got upset when I said "OK, great.
Now, did you want to go to the beach, or what?"
I was supposed to be upset that she wasn't going to offer me something I didn't want?

Good question, but I find it is mainly "backslid believers " who have the most objections. Anyway, your reasoning is right on it! I guess maybe inside we all know there may be some truth in it even though we SAY we don't believe in heaven and/or hell. I believe there is a "God-shaped vacuum" inside every heart!
God is the judge of all men, not me, but if someone is saying they are living in a "brown house" and I see you at your home and it's a "white house"; it's OK to say, what you said about your house wasn't true, you are NOT a "brown house dweller". I am talking about what they have claimed, not about THEM! See?

Christians who say I am going to hell because I don't believe in God don't bother me nearly as much as Christians who say I am going to hell because my atheism "proves I am immoral".
Some of these people also think that I am not entitled to my rights as a U.S. citizen because I'm an immoral atheist. I wouldn't mind these people if it weren't for the fact that they've gained some political power, and might eventually be able to carry out their wishes.

Because most people believe no one has a right to decide their fate. I can say "slow down or you will get a speeding ticket". No argument therebecause it is basically a fact. But if someone tells another where they will reside after they die is being just a bit to judgmental without any facts to back it up.

It is insulting to God, which disturbs me because I love God.
It implies one of two things: Either
(1) If God is omnipotent but still sends people to hell, then He must be infinitely cruel and unjust. The Bible statement "God is love" must be untrue.
OR
(2) If God can't stop sending people to hell but is loving and just, then He must be less than omnipotent, or incapacitated.
All of which just goes to show how ridiculous the Christian belief in hell is.

Because the fact of the matter is that that person is being so horrible that they would wish ETERNAL TORMENT AND SUFFERING on a fellow human being, and that bothers/disgusts me a lot.

I can see why it bothers some people, because it implies that Jesus is the only path to Heaven which is not correct. He is only one path. There are many.
It doesn't bother me by the way. I know where I'm going when I leave this Earth. Back to God, just like the rest of the world.

I find it disgusting because it is usually being said by self-righteous hypocrites who believe in hell because it would be the ultimate way of getting back at anyone who didn't believe in what they believed.
In other words, 'you'd better do what I say or my big brother is going to beat you up'.
Plus it's like me going up to someone and saying 'You don't think like I do? Well, I can't wait until someone stomps on your face with a boot. That's what you deserve for not thinking like me. If you want to get out of the boot stomping just do what I tell you.'
